The real-life wife of Supernatural’s Jensen Ackles is joining the show is a recurring role.

Supernatural fans have already seen Jared Padalecki and his wife Genevieve Cortese Padalecki opposite each other on the hit show. In fact, it was where the two met. Now it’s time for Jensen Ackles to star opposite his real-life wife in the series, as Danneel Harris Ackles has been cast in a recurring role.

Yes this is officially finally happening! Anyone else super stoked about this news?

Very little known about Danneel Ackles’ character

So far, very little is known about the former One Tree Hill actress’ character. She will be called Sister Jo and is a “well-known faith healer.” According to Variety, Lucifer will learn about Sister Jo’s abilities and pay her a visit. Harris Ackles’ first episode will be “Devil’s Bargain,” which is aptly set to be the 13th episode of the season.

As she’s set to be a recurring character, Sister Jo likely won’t be killed by Lucifer in the first episode. However, Supernatural hasn’t shared the exact number the actress will be in or whether she will actually end up with any screen time with the Winchesters.

Let’s hope the Ackles children won’t have to learn why daddy and Uncle Jared kill mommy on screen the way the Padalecki children will have to learn why daddy and Uncle Jensen kill mommy. That would be awkward!

Not Harris Ackles’ first stint with the Supernatural cast

Harris Ackles has shared screen time with members of the Supernatural cast in the past. She and her husband played love interests in the indie movie Ten Inch Hero in 2007. Despite the two knowing each other for a decade, it was this movie that finally helped put them romantically together in real life.

However, the mother of three has also appeared alongside Misha Collins in the past. The two did a short digital comedy called TSA America: Suspicious Bulges in 2014.

As long as there are no breaks between the season 13 midseason premiere and “Devil’s Bargain,” the episode will air on February 2, 2018. A synopsis for the episode hasn’t been released yet.
