She isn’t afraid to say no

One of the problems with nice characters is they can say yes too often; and those yeses get them in trouble. Kaia isn’t afraid to say no. If she doesn’t want to do something, she will tell people that. Despite Jack getting her out of the rehab center, Kaia made it clear she wasn’t going to help him. She didn’t trust him, so why would she help him with his tasks?

The only reason Kaia gave in was because Dean held a gun to her head. It was either go with the Winchesters or run the risk of being killed. Again, she didn’t trust people, so she wasn’t going to run the risk, right?

She will use people to her advantage

This should be a bad personality aspect, but it works in Kaia’s advantage. And it could work in Wayward Sisters’ advantage. Due to everything that’s happened in her life, Kaia refuses to let people in. When she wants something, she will use others to help her and then make it clear nobody should have trusted her in the first place.

Most protagonists don’t have this aspect in their character development. If they say they’ll do something, they hold up their end of the bargain. Really, good should lose because of this. Kaia’s personality could help the side of good win more often; as long as she remains on the side of good, that is.

She can bring out a softer side to Claire

Claire Novak isn’t the most likeable character on Supernatural. Sure, she has her reasons but there are many who can’t stand the teenage angst. Kaia has the ability to bring out the softer side of Claire, in a similar way Alex did when in trouble.

Kaia and Claire will form a bond over their shared experiences. They have both been in foster care and have trouble trusting people and believing them. Claire will help Kaia see there is a chance on the other side of the coin, while Kaia helps Claire realize that opening up to someone really isn’t that bad.

She can handle herself in a fight

It looks like Patience is going to need some training. Kaia, on the other hand, is already capable in looking after herself. This will become useful during Wayward Sisters. There’s less chance of her constantly being a liability or a damsel in distress.

Fans will get to see more of Kaia in action during the Supernatural winter premiere. This is a chance to see how well she holds herself under pressure, as there are certainly fears within her.
