The CW boss mark Pedowitz has high hopes and praise for Supernatural spin-off, Wayward Sisters.

Supernatural fans are keeping a close ear to the ground about the potential spin-off Wayward Sisters. While it’s not yet been officially picked up, things are looking positive. The CW boss, Mark Pedowitz, had nothing but praise for the series. What does it mean and will fans get to see the Wayward women? It turns out it’s up to the fans.

Mark Pedowitz likes the Supernatural spin-off

The great news is Wayward Sisters is getting the thumbs up from The CW boss. If he likes it, it means there is a good chance that it will be picked up. However, he says that it will be up to the fans. After all, nothing is perfect and there are concerns that fans won’t watch a show that “the boys” (i.e. Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles) aren’t in.

More from Supernatural

It’s no secret that a previous Supernatural spin-off spectacularly failed. Fans made their dislike known instantly and the network chose not to run with it. Pedowitz says that this new attempt “has an opportunity to work.”

Fans that want to see this spin-off come to the network will need to tune into at least the next two episodes of Supernatural. The winter premiere is the second half of the official backdoor pilot for the series. It will be Wayward heavy, as Claire and Kaia go into the Bad Place to save the Winchesters. Jody will call Donna to help and the two of them, along with Alex and Patience, will tackle things on their side of the rift.

Episode 11, “Breakdown,” will be Donna heavy. This will help tell the story of why Donna is leaving for Sioux Falls to join her band of women.

"I’ve seen it, I like it but the fans determine. [Bloodlines] did not work at all, this one has an opportunity to work. Nothing is perfect but the real question is whether fans will go watch it if the boys aren’t in it.–Mark Pedowitz"

How fans can help Wayward Sisters succeed

There are a few things that the fans can do other than watch the Supernatural episodes. One of those is to tweet. Including #Wayward on Twitter when discussing the show will help alert The CW to the potential fanbase. Anything positive you have to say will be taken into account.

During the two episodes, make sure you use both hashtags #Supernatural and #Wayward. SPN Hunters details more about how to use them to help Wayward Sisters succeed.

"The characters work, Kathryn Newton is a real star, the actress who plays Donna is hilarious.–Mark Pedowitz"

The most discussion on forums, social media and more about the spin-off, the better for the show to get officially picked up. Pedowitz thinks that the show works, but it’s up to the fans to make it clear that it will; that they’ll watch it.
