Jeffrey Dean Morgan is taking a detour from his usual roles and will be appearing in the upcoming movie Rampage

He is normally hunting things, saving people, tracking down yellow-eyed demons while barking orders at Sam and Dean Winchester. In his spare time he may be found swinging a peculiar looking baseball bat, which he has custom designed. But this time Jeffrey Dean Morgan is taking a bit of a break and doing something completely different.

Instead of appearing on the small screen, he will be appearing on the big screen as he is set to feature alongside Dwayne Johnson in the upcoming action, adventure thriller, Rampage, playing the role of Agent Russell. The movie is scheduled for release on April 20, 2018.

What is Rampage all about?

Based on the classic 1980’s game of the same name, Rampage is directed by Brad Peyton and centers around primatologist Davis Okoye, played by Johnson. He has a unique and established bond with a very intelligent silverback gorilla that he has looked after all his life. However, due to some genetic modifications and experimentation, his once beloved gorilla goes on a rampage. Other animals have also been experimented on in the same way and everything soon spirals out of control. These animals soon begin to create chaos all over North America and it is up to Okoye and his team to deliver an attitude and save the day.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s role in the movie is to portray the character of Agent Russell, a government agent working for an agency who is only known as the OGA.
