6) A first-look at Luke’s office
It’s been 2 years since we’ve seen the inside of Luke’s office at the NYPD, but the trailer teased a new set for Shadowhunters season 3! We had previously learned from showrunners that Luke would have more screen time this season with a heightened story arc, and that includes having the audience follow him to his office at the police station. If you blinked, you would have missed it, but the trailer showed us a first-look at the office, complete with a “Detective” sign on the door.
One major cliffhanger at the end of season 2 was Olly revealing to Luke that she knew he was a werewolf. In the celebratory party scene at Hunter’s Moon, his NYPD partner didn’t hesitate as she crashed the Shadowhunter/Downworlder party and demanded to know how long Luke had been hiding his secret from her. We expect Olly’s knowledge of werewolves to play a significant role in season 3, but in the scene from the trailer, Clary is the one in Luke’s office, and she’s confiding in him about Jace’s health.
