Now that Wayward Sisters is out of the way and Danneel Ackles’ first episode is this week, eyes are on when the Supernatural Scooby Doo crossover will air.

Since hearing that there would be a Supernatural crossover with Scooby Doo, many fans have been uber excited. It’s not that surprising either. For years there have been Scooby jokes thrown in. Crowley sees himself more of a Daphne while Dean has certainly admitted to likely hitting on Daphne if he had the chance. In the second episode of Season 13, Jack got to catch part of an episode of Scooby before Dean rudely turned it off.

Now that the Wayward Sisters backdoor pilot is out of the way, Donna’s story has been wrapped and Danneel Ackles’ first look has been shared, eyes are on this crossover event. It will be an animated episode of Supernatural, which has fans even more excited. There’s a chance that some of the original elements of the meddling kids will be included.

When will the animated crossover episode air?

But what we don’t know yet is officially when it will air. There’s been no confirmation from The CW or the showrunners about a date. ComicBook.com believes that it will be Mar. 1, but that date hasn’t been confirmed yet. It is understandable how the site got to that date, though.

Feb. 8 will air Episode 13 of the season. We know that the Supernatural Scooby Doo crossover will be Episode 16. That means there are just two more episodes between this week and the crossover, so technically there should be two more weeks. That would certainly suggest Mar. 1 as the date of the episode.

It could be the end of March

The last two seasons give us a good idea of The CW’s planned scheduled. Both Seasons 11 and 12 saw a break between Episodes 15 and 16 for three-four weeks. This break is necessary to get the rest of the episodes filmed and edited, allowing a May finish.

This could be the plan for Season 13. It’s possible that The CW will choose to break with Episode 15 and then come back with the Supernatural Scooby Doo crossover. Since it has been so highly anticipated, it would make sense to return after a hiatus with that, bringing in the strong live views for the returning week.

Episode 15’s title is “A Most Holy Man.” This would suggest that the overall story arc will be included, offering a cliffhanger ending to create suspense going into the break.

So far, there isn’t a confirmed date for the episode. It is certainly possible that the episode could air on Mar. 1, but judging by the dates of Episodes 16 in previous seasons, it’s more likely towards the end of the month.
