Felicia Day made her The Magicians debut in Season 3, Episode 6, and her character certainly left us with plenty of questions. However, there were many other talking points throughout the plot-moving episode.

After months of Supernatural fans waiting eagerly for Felicia Day to debut in The Magicians, it finally happened in Season 3, Episode 6. While her character certainly brought up some big questions about the quest for the keys, there were many other burning questions throughout the plot-moving episode.

While Quentin sourced the fourth key in the middle of the Abyss, Julie and Alice attempted a dangerous spell to transfer Julie’s magic to Alice. At the same time, Eliot and Margo went on a mission to stop the fairy’s hostile takeover. Here’s a look at the burning questions from the episode.

More from Syfy

#1. Will Eliot and Quentin’s alternate timeline come back?

Okay, so this is actually a question from the week before, but there was hope that some of this episode would touch on it. Eliot and Quentin through a whole life. They loved, lost and loved some more. It was a beautifully heartbreaking episode, which ended up with Margo preventing the step through the doorway to Fillory causing an alternate timeline.

The two never discussed it, but there was a look; a memory of the thing that happened but didn’t at the same time. There was hope that the timeline would be mentioned at some point or that Quentin’s son from that timeline would appear. But it was all ignored bar the one look.

Will this timeline come back to them at some other point? Could this open a new world that brings another key on the quest?

#2. Where has Benedict gone?

Benedict jumped into the ocean to kill himself because of that key but was eaten by the dragon. It turns out dragons don’t poop into the ocean, but that waste has to go somewhere, right? Well, that brings the question as to where Benedict and the fourth key have really gone.

Poppy and Quentin believe they’ve gone to the Underworld. That would make sense since a dragon was previously needed for Quentin and Julia to get to the Underworld. Will Quentin take another trip there to figure out where the key has gone?

Could it turn out that the dragon’s food is the gateway to multiple people? Could the dragons turn out to be similar to the Neitherlands instead?

#3. Is Our Lady Underground involved in Alice’s collapse?

After successfully transferring powers, Alice collapsed with only Astral Penny around. Julie’s powers were linked to Our Lady Underground, who had said that she’d given Julia a part of Reynard as a gift. It screamed a lack of consent, but what’s new with the Gods?

However, this wasn’t a gift for Julia to re-gift. Is it possible that Our Lady Underground is acting against Alice as a consequence for passing on the magic? Or is it just a problem with the dangerous spell? After all, Penny definitely wasn’t happy that the two were transferring Julia’s powers.

#4. Will Penny manage to get a body back?

Alice collapsed while attempting to make Penny a body. It looked like a long process as she had a lot of bones to knit together—and where exactly did those bones come from? There was a glimmer of hope for Penny that he would finally get to put his astral self back into a form, but is that now going to happen?

If Alice does survive this, will she still have magic to do the work? She may have to pass on her knowledge to someone else to do the work. That’s if the magic is still going to be around after this.

#5. How will the Fairy Queen react now?

The Fairy Queen’s big plan has now come to light. She wanted the inedible mushrooms to grow her own eggs, building her Fairy Army. But Eliot and Margo (it is awesome having the two back as friends again) have now stolen the eggs and ran away with them. Just what is the next move for the Fairy Queen? This is a creature the High Kings and Queens do not want to get on the wrong side of, considering she still has plenty of magic.

Not only that, but the marriage between Margo and her new kid of a husband hasn’t been consummated. Just why does the Fairy Queen need this marriage consummated and does it have something to do with those eggs?

The Magicians Season 3, Episode 6 left us more questions than it did answers, but it also helped to push the plot further along. Now there’s plenty of excitement for the next episode.
