Syfy renews The Magicians for Season 4
The Magicians may only be halfway through its third season, but it’s already been renewed for another year.
The Magicians Season 4 is definitely happening. Syfy announced the news earlier today, despite the series only being halfway through airing its third season.
It’s certainly not surprising news for fans of the series, but still exciting. The Magicians remains the network’s top performing scripted series among 18-49-year-olds, which it has been since the very beginning.

Little is known about a premiere date, except that it will be in 2019. The season will also have 13 episodes, which matches its previous season runs.
The Magicians is an adaptation of the novels by Lev Grossman. Mixing a variety of fictional worlds together to create Fillory, Brakebills and more, the story is about Quentin Coldwater and his friends, as they learn more about magic, tackle The Beast, and figure out the truth about about creatures and worlds. Season 3 sees the group tackle a world without magic and the Quest for the Seven Keys.

They’re not your typical heroes, especially when it comes to Quentin. That’s the allure to the show, as it makes it clear absolutely anyone can save the world.
Recently, The Magicians revealed another musical episode. While previous seasons have had musical numbers, Season 3 will be bigger than ever before. There will be four musical numbers, and the whole cast will be involved this time. There’s now hope that Season 4 will continue this tradition of having at least one musical number in the season.
The Magicians stars Jason Ralph as Quentin, with Stella Maeve, Hale Appleman, Olivia Taylor Dudley, Summer Bishil, Arjun Gupta and Jade Tailor. Showrunners are Sera Gamble, John McNamara, Chris Fisher, Henry Alonso Myers and Groundswell Productions’ Michael London and Janice Williams.
