Hey, look, it’s AU Jody Mills!!!

Ok not really, but also really. Any Supernatural fans watching Criminal Minds will know exactly what I mean.

When Supernatural first introduced the AU world and introduced us to AU Bobby we all started asking very similar questions. Will we get any other AU versions of people? Will we see AU Garth? Maybe AU John? Etc.

So far we have only had AU Bobby and Kevin show up (out of the characters we love), but if you fancy seeing what an AU Jody Mills looks like, Criminal Minds is doing a pretty good job at it. Kim Rhodes is in a recurring guest role on the CBS series that follows the cases of the B.A.U. (Behavioral Analysis Unit), an elite group of people who analyze and profile what makes serial killers and criminals tick.

Rhodes previously appeared in the spin-off series, Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, as Assistant Director Linda Barnes.

Jody Mills has always been viewed as the heartwarming mom type. Yes, she kicks ass and can kill a Supernatural creature with a spoon if she wants to, but she is also a lovely person. She is like a grizzly bear. Kind, warm and cuddly but don’t mess with her kids.

Assitant Director Linda Barnes, however, is everything from warm and cuddly. She is evil. If you know Harry Potter, she is the Professor Umbridge of Criminal Minds.

So far she has demoted/removed one member of the team, Emily Prentiss, and has promoted another, JJ, to the unit chief. JJ is not interested in the position and Barnes is making her life a living hell by watching her under the microscope.

100% not the Kim Rhodes we all know and love.

It is a true testament to how good an actress Rhodes is. How she is able to portray one loving character so well in one show and completely flip that view in another. Rhodes, we salute you!
