Bob’s Burgers is named after Bob, but the show has some of the best female characters. In honor of Women’s History Month, let’s celebrate the Belcher ladies.

On the surface, Bob’s Burgers would seem heavily male-dominated. With the premise of the restaurant being owned and run by Bob, it isn’t a bad conclusion to come to. Fans of the series know it’s the exact opposite, though. Of all the characters on the show, the three leading ladies are the ones who shine.

In honor of March being International Women’s History Month, let’s take a look at the Belcher ladies. Each plays a pivotal role in the series, the family and brings something unique to the table. Unlike Gene and Bob though, they each have their own fandom and people who can relate to them.

I’m not trying to downplay the impact of Bob and Gene. Bob and Gene are great characters, but there’s something about the Belcher ladies. While the focus is on the Belcher ladies, the show itself celebrates women and has been hailed as a feminist TV show. The creators might not have anticipated that title, but they own it.

The Belcher ladies aren’t the only aspect of Bob’s Burgers to celebrate, though. The show features a catalog of awesome female voice actors such as Kristen Schaal, Laura and Sarah Silverman and Megan Mullally.

The show also has a lot of female writers, has refreshing female characters and features a lot of awesome feminist moments. That’s a topic for another time, though. Today, we’re looking at the characters of Linda, Tina and Louise Belcher and what they bring to Bob’s Burgers.
