Shadowhunters season 3, episode 2 preview: The Powers That Be

After an intense premiere episode for Shadowhunters season 3, it looks like episode 2, “The Powers That Be” will be filled with warlock magic and a fancy party with Alec, Magnus, Catarina, Lorenzo, and Madzie all in attendance. The photos show Malec deep in conversation at the event, and there are some interesting facial expressions going on between the couple. We’re guessing it has something to do with Lorenzo’s presence as the new high warlock, and also perhaps something to do with the attack on NY from Lilith?
In Shadowhunters season 3, episode 2, we know from Freeform that “The Warlocks’ magic is becoming corrupted by a demonic presence. Meanwhile, Izzy and Luke will try to track down more information on the recent series of possessions.” So Lilith will continue to possess mundanes (and possibly some others in the Shadow World if warlock magic is being corrupted). We’re also super interested to know what Malec is up to with their combination of magic and rune strength to help protect warlocks and the Institute!
