Criminal Minds Season 13, Episode 18 preview: The Dance of Love
Love turns deadly in Criminal Minds, as Rossi gets a visit from an ex-wife.
It’s time for one of Rossi’s ex-wives to show up in Criminal Minds Season 13. Well, it has been a while since we’ve seen that happen and it’s always amusing. While that happens, the BAU go on a case to Chicago, where their UnSub had decided red roses on their victims are the perfect calling card.
You would think that if an UnSub leaves a calling card it would be easier to track them, right? Well, while forensics and criminal psychology understandings are getting better, so is access to information. The roses may be left behind, but they only give an insight into the behavior of the UnSub and not who he is.
The more interesting part of the synopsis for Criminal Minds Season 13, Episode 18 to pull apart is actually going to involve Rossi. One of his ex-wives is showing up, but one that we haven’t met before. It’s always interesting to delve into his past relationships and figure out why they didn’t work. The big question is why this one is coming into the picture.

This time it’s Krystall Richards, Rossi’s third ex-wife and the one he was married to for the least amount of time. They married while in Las Vegas, meeting at the blackjack table, where Krystall was the dealing and Rossi was on a winning streak. They got drunk and opting for a drive-in wedding; yes, that romantic! They even opted for an Elvis impersonator as the justice of the peace.

When sober, the two realized the marriage wouldn’t work and just a drunken mistake. They amicably divorced and that was that. Considering the marriage was so short-lived, just why does she come back into Rossi’s life now?
It’s also another important episode when it comes to directing. Joe Mantegna is directing the episode. This is the third time in three weeks that a cast member is directing an episode.
