Will Rampage get a sequel?
By Sandy C.
Dwayne Johnson’s latest movie, Rampage, is packed with far-fetched action sequences, one-liners, and a lot of muscle. Can we please have more?
Stunts no one would ever be able to pull off, injuries no human would realistically recover from (at least not in seconds), and giant animals rampaging around the city, Rampage is another big, loud, and fun The Rock movie. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. Dwayne Johnson is known for starring in blockbuster movies that take viewers on a wild ride.
Haven’t seen Rampage in theaters just yet? Look away now, spoilers ahead!
The latest movie starring Dwayne Johnson is based on an arcade video game from X that featured enormous, mutated creatures, particularly a gorilla, gator, and wolf, storming through the city and destroying everything in their path. The play gets to select which creature they play, and the idea is to cause as much damage as possible. And, that’s pretty much it. The premise is simple, add a plot that just as basic, The Rock, a helicopter, cheesy lines, and you’ve got yourself a movie.

Even with all that said, I would be lying if I said I didn’t have a good time. Rampage is still very exciting to watch, entertaining, and a good escape. If you’re a fan of Johnson’s movies, you will enjoy this one.
One thing Hollywood loves more than creating blockbuster films are sequels. And with the recent news that Welcome to the Jungle (also starring Johnson and also based on another piece of work) is getting a sequel, fans are wondering if Rampage 2 is coming in the near future.
While nothing has been announced, we can assumed that it will likely happen. There’s more to the original game than what we watched — more “levels,” characters we haven’t explored. And, if we’re being honest, it’s not like production needs to work on a clever plot. What it all comes down to is money.

It took a while for Welcome to the Jungle 2 to be official (the movie is already on Blu-ray). So it’s safe to say we’ll hear something once the studio sees how Rampage performs in theaters. What do you think? Would you like to see more?
