Wes Anderson creator of Isle of Dogs making strides to provide homes for man’s best friends.

Wes Anderson, the director and writer of the hit movie Isle of Dogs, launched a campaign on Crowdfire. They’ve teamed up to work with the organization Best Friend’s Animal Society to “save them all.” What a great way to tie in the movie with such a worthy cause!

According to the website, The Best Friend’s Society is an organization that rescues dogs and cats that are being killed in America. This is due to inadequate spacing in shelters and lack of homes. They work collaboratively with shelters, rescue groups, and other organizations to end the killing. They are on a mission to Save Them All by 2025. To learn more about their sanctuary I provided a link at the bottom.

If you are unfamiliar with Isle of Dogs, it is a stop-motion-animated film set in Japan and follows a boy’s (Atari) journey in search of his lost dog (Spots). They are separated due to an outbreak of canine flu which leads all dogs to be quarantined on an island. With help from a pack of misfits, they go on a quest to uncover a government conspiracy.

For the Crowdfire launch, donations can lead to valuable, unique, and cool prizes. For instance, winners will receive a full set of six figures.

This set of six is of only 100 ever made and WON’T be sold in stores. The figures were designed in London by the same puppet makers who did the film. You get six dogs, one which is Atari.

Next: A canine collaboration
