Designated Survivor: Think Hannah Wells will stop hunting down Gamine? Think again

The last time we saw Hannah Wells, she was fired from her position as the president’s special agent on Designated Survivor. But will that stop her from hunting down the hacker? No way.

We already know that Designated Survivor‘s Hannah Wells does what she wants with or without permission. We also know that she has no problem working alone. So was there ever any doubt that her firing would only serve to catapult her even further into her investigation?

As of right now, she is hot on the trail of Andrea Frost. And though it would seem unlikely that Frost is the hacker, it is worth noting that if Wells was wrong about that, it may be the first time in the show that she’s ever been wrong about… anything.

Also worth noting is that there have been several parallels between this show and Kiefer Sutherland’s former phenom 24, where he starred as special agent Jack Bauer. Many times during that show, we saw Bauer go off the grid after falling out of favor with authority figures.

And like Jack Bauer, Hannah Wells does what she thinks is best regardless of who tells her otherwise. So this is exciting; we are about to see a version of her that we have yet to see in the show — a version nobody should want to mess with.

She’s angry. She just lost Damian, and her world is falling apart. But when things get tough for her, she always rises to the challenge and beats the odds.

This could also be the beginning of a trend that focuses more on her storyline — which would be an excellent direction for the show to head in. Politics are fun to watch, but more of Wells will only serve to better the show.

We’ll see soon enough what direction she heads in. But we haven’t seen the last of Hannah Wells yet.
