After discovering the house they were staying in contained a multitude of weapons, drugs, and dead bodies, our gang of survivors heads to Cancun to start afresh. Here’s what happened this week on The Last Man on Earth.

Having learned of the secrets concealed in the walls of the casa, Tandy and Mike agree with everyone else that it would be best to move to a new location. Deciding on Cancun, the gang holds a funeral ceremony for the dead bodies they found, blowing up the house, and incidentally squishing the pair of goats in the process.

Leaving Mike’s truck and heat detecting technology behind, the group decides to travel by way of train car attached to a semi cab. Stopping by where Tandy and Mike found the goats they discover none to be found. Breaking off from the rest to track the animals down, the brothers stumble across an abandoned house that reminds them of their grandmother’s. Despite finding no sign of the goats, Mike and Tandy convince the group to stick around for a few more days as they look for them.

That night, unable to sleep, Tandy takes his robotic dog for a walk to clear his head. Heading back the house he found, Tandy takes a look around. While trying to play fetch, Tandy has the misfortune of discovering the dog’s battery had corroded beyond repair. As he dug a grave for his robotic pet, an alive dog approaches the artificial one, barking, but runs off when Tandy gets close.

Once Mike has left the group becomes all fired up to settle in to their new home. Unpacking, everyone starts leaving the train car one by one. By the time Tandy gets out they discover they aren’t alone there. In fact, they are surrounded by gas mask wearing people on all sides.

Who else thought that last scene was super creepy? Who are these people and why are they wearing gas masks? Are they simply people who had the means to hide out underground? Does the dog Tandy saw belong to one of them? If Fox gives Last Man on Earth another shot next season would surely be a wild ride.
