Peaky Blinders season 5 will not be the last

Despite what we all initially thought, Peaky Blinders season 5 is not going to be the last and there is even talk of a ballet performance as well.
It was widely thought that the next time we say the Birmingham gangsters on our screen it would be for the last time. But the creator of the series, Steven Knight, has confirmed that Peaky Blinders season 5 will not be the last.
Knight revealed to the Evening Standard that he is currently writing the fifth season and it will not be the end for the Peaky Blinders. It would be returning for not only a sixth season and hopefully a seventh as well.

Cillian Murphy is all for it
Knight explained to the Standard;
"“We are definitely doing [series] six and we will probably do seven. After series four it went mad."

"“We’ve talked to [lead actor] Cillian Murphy and he’s all for it, and the rest of the principal cast are in for it.”"
This is all amazing news for fans who were under the impression that season 5 was the last. With Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) now elected as the Labor MP for Birmingham City with an agenda of either bringing down the communists or aiding them, you can never tell with Tommy which side he is working on, the last thing anyone wants is the series to come to a close.
Peaky Blinders – The Ballet
A much stranger addition to this news is the possibility of Peaky Blinders – The Ballet being produced. The Rambert dance company is interested in producing a ballet performance about the series and Knight revealed that they have been in contact with him over the idea.
"“I had a meeting with Ballet Rambert who want to do Peaky Blinders – The Ballet. I’m saying ‘why not?’”"

So not only are we going to see more of the Shelby family we are going to possibly see a ballet version of them as well. Can’t wait to see Arthur in a tutu.
