“If you ever try to take me out again, you better not miss — because I won’t.”

That was Hannah Wells’ warning to Valeria Poriskova, and she did not listen. In the last episode of Designated Survivor, Hannah Wells discovered that the person who organized the hit that killed Damian Rennett was Poriskova. She also discovered that the hit was intended for her.

Wells then proceeded to quit her job at the White House, seemingly to hunt down her nemesis. Is this where Wednesday’s episode will take us?

Her going off the grid has been long overdue. But this is going to be a battle of epic proportions. In quitting her job, she is deciding to go up against Poriskova without the backing of the U.S. government.

More from ABC

This time, Hannah Wells only has to answer to herself. Will Chuck Russink play the role of 24’s Chloe O’Brian by staying in the picture? Or will it truly be Wells against the world?

If the past has shown anything, it’s that Chuck has been willing to do just about anything Wells has asked of him. And since we now know that loyalty comes from his deeply rooted feelings for her, it is fair to guess that he will be working to keep her safe once again as she hunts down her rival.
