The 5 best (and 3 worst) stand-ups on Netflix

The Worst
Seth Rogen’s Hilarity for Charity
It’s true that less is more. And this couldn’t be more true when it comes to Seth Rogen’s Hilarity for Charity on Netflix. The stand-up features several big names, including Sarah Silverman, Michelle Wolf, Tiffany Haddish, John Mulaney, Michael Che, Michael J. Fox, Craig Robinson, Nick Kroll, and many more. You may be thinking, “how I love at least four of those comedians!” But that doesn’t matter.
More from Netflix
- Bridgerton season 3: All the details to know about Penelope and Colin’s love story
- It’s a slow week on Netflix with only three new releases (Nov. 20)
- Exploding Kittens: From card game to Netflix animated series starring Tom Ellis
- The Crown and more Netflix shows and movies to stream this week (November 13)
- Escaping Twin Flames and more harrowing love-centered documentaries to watch on Netflix
There is nothing hilarious about Hilarity for Charity. On Rotten Tomatoes, it doesn’t have a score from critics, but the Audience Score is 18%. So, if anything, it should be titled “a chuckle or two for charity.”
Gabriel Iglesias
To be honest, I have never really been a fan of Gabriel Iglesias’ comedy. But the Hawaiian shirts and “fluffy” jokes are worn-out. On Netflix, you can find his latest stand-up from a couple of years ago, I’m Sorry For What I Said When I Was Hungry (2016), as well as I’m Not Fat… I’m Fluffy (2009) and Hot and Fluffy (2007), but there are so many other stand-ups you could watch instead.

The Standups
While SO much better than Seth Rogen’s Hilarity for Charity, this stand-up also features several comedians so the focus is thrown around a bit. However, the names are not as known as they are in Rogen’s stand-up. On The Standups, you’ll find Rachel Feinstein, Kyle Kinane, Joe List, Brent Morin, Aparna Nancherla, and Gina Yashere.
