Big Brother fan vote: An idea to construct a cast with viewer input

Big Brother fan vote. It’s an idea to get viewers involved in the construction of the BB20 cast. Could it lead to an even more exciting season from CBS?
The Big Brother 20 season begins on June 27 and the production team is finishing up the casting. While it might be too late to interject some new ideas, I still have one I would like to share. I think that when constructing the BB20 cast, there should also be a Big Brother fan vote.
How would Big Brother fan vote work?
The production team would still be in charge of application and recruitment for the season. In fact, control stays with them until the semi-finalists have been chosen. As previously reported by Inside the BB House, that’s exactly where the process is at for the 2018 summer season. This is where the process could get interesting.
Rather than have the production team decide the final BB20 cast, it would be up to a Big Brother fan vote. A poll could be done, with live feed subscribers logging in and voting on the 16 or 18 people they want to enter the house. It combines fan control with CBS making money through the live feeds. Everybody wins.

Fan involvement creates new viewers
As shown above, via the Big Brother Twitter account, CBS is no stranger to polls. Each season, the network also has fans vote on favorite players or houseguests. There are even votes in regard to punishment foods or reward advantages. It’s something that would be very easy for the reality competition show to do when constructing a future cast. Polls are also very popular among fans, drawing more eyes and possibly creating more viewers. That means even more money for the network.

The summer 2018 schedule is public information. June 27 has almost arrived. At that point, viewers will get to see the houseguests chosen for them. While the BB20 cast could be a great one, it would still be really exciting to give the fans more control over casting. Possibly it could get used for the BB21 cast? There is a lot of time before Big Brother 21. So, maybe?
