All 13 seasons of Supernatural ranked from worst to best
Supernatural Season 13 has come and gone. Now it’s time to figure out where it goes when ranking all the seasons together.
As with the end of every season, we start comparing it to the previous seasons. Where exactly does it belong in the grand scheme of things? Supernatural Season 13 is one of those that’s a mixed bag. If you’d have asked me at the midseason point, I’d have thought it belonged near the top of the list. But after the disappointing second half of the season, I had to rethink things.
Then I realized that I’ve never actually put my ranking of the Supernatural seasons on here for everyone to see! We all have different opinions on what makes a season good or bad. My opinions have even changed over the years the more I watch the show and get some of the deeper meanings and conversations.
So, with that in mind, I thought it time to put my ranking of the Supernatural seasons from worst to best as they stand right now. I’ll explain why they stand where they do and you may be surprised by my thoughts right now.
#13. Supernatural Season 7

This one shouldn’t be the surprise. It’s the one season that the majority of people can agree on is the worst. And it’s a shame.
There wasn’t one particular thing that made this a bad season. Just in the execution of it all, nothing seemed to fit quite right. This is something Mark Sheppard once said about the seventh season and I’ve agreed with him. Sera Gamble is an excellent showrunner and has a brilliant mind like Eric Kripke, but this season just didn’t quite work.
The Leviathans were supposed to be scary, but they ended up a little anticlimactic. I did love some of the links back to the earlier seasons, though. In the end, Dick didn’t have enough of a bite and really did become the butt of the jokes.
Plus, we lost Bobby. That made me super sad.
