5 great movies starring Paul Rudd on Netflix right now

Ant-Man and The Wasp will hit theaters next weekend but until then, here are some other great titles starring Paul Rudd on Netflix to stream right now!

Paul Rudd isn’t the conventional leading man but the guy has a charm that somehow elevates most films. He’s also one of the few male stars today that can seamlessly move from drama to comedy without even flinching. Not to mention Rudd is one of the best on-screen performers as far as executing improvisation.

Next week, Paul Rudd will be reprising his role as Scott Lang in the upcoming film Ant-Man and The Wasp. Until then, there are plenty of films with Rudd for your enjoyment on Netflix that should hold Marvel fans over until release.

Here are five great films starring Paul Rudd streaming on Netflix as of right now:

#1 Sausage Party

Sausage Party is far from your standard family animated film. In fact, keep all kids away from this one because this is one of the raunchiest affairs in recent memory. The film takes on the similar premises of Toy Story–“What if our toys are self-aware?”– and applies it to food. This results in an absurd amount of shenanigans involving food trying to avoid being eaten by sadistic humans as well as over-the-top scenarios involving hot dogs and buns doing— well just watch the trailer above and you’ll get the idea.

#2 Forgetting Sarah Marshall

More from Movies

Forgetting Sarah Marshall is easily one of the best romantic comedies of the last decade. Paul Rudd himself doesn’t headline the film but his character Chuck steals the show almost every brief moment he is given. His goofball dimwitted charm makes him such a lovable supporting character and at the same time makes one wonder how he has not been eaten by a shark yet.

Outside of Rudd himself, the film does an amazing job at making depression funny. This aspect makes Forgetting Sarah Marshall such a rare gem and should give single people hope by seeing the humor amidst their loneliest times.

#3 The Fundamentals of Caring

If you have not seen this movie then stop everything and go to Netflix. The Fundamentals of Caring is such a great comedy that covers a topic rarely discussed. Paul Rudd plays a personal caregiver to a disabled young man that is extremely picky about who should care for him. On the surface, this sounds like a really depressing topic but it’s absolutely hilarious. Imagine Me Before You as a bromance comedy but Paul Rudd is Emilia Clarke’s character.

#4 I Love You, Man

Nothing like a good old-fashioned bromantic comedy, am I right? The film which stars Paul Rudd and Jason Segel takes the common romantic comedy formula and applies it to two men. Boy meets boy, the boy becomes best friend with boy, boy loses best friend, the boy makes up with best friend and rocks out to the amazing sounds of Rush. We all need at least one best friend, and I Love You, Man reminds us why having a “Bro-Montana” is important.

#5 The 40-Year-Old-Virgin

Unless you have been living under a rock the past decade you are probably aware of The 40-Year-Old Virgin. The film kicked off Steve Carrell’s career in a magnificent way but also had a dynamic supporting cast including Paul Rudd. In the film, Rudd plays a lovesick coworker who still has not recovered from a recent break-up. Just like Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Paul Rudd demonstrates how depression can be translated into comedy. The 40-Year-Old Virgin is a fantastic comedy and one definitely worth checking out on Netflix
