Where season 5 of Bob’s Burgers focused on Bob, season 6 focuses on a little bit of everything while still remaining true to the series.

It feels like just yesterday since we’ve started looking back at the first season of Bob’s Burgers. Sadly, the end is getting closer as we head into season 6. Season 6 shares a lot of similarities to the previous seasons, but does have a few episodes/qualities that stand out.

Each Sunday, I’ll discuss a season, talk about what made the season stand out, some memorable episodes and if I consider it a favorite. As per usual, I’d love to hear feedback from fellow Bob’s Burgers fans including your thoughts on the season, your favorite episode from each season and general thoughts.

As mentioned above, season 6 of Bob’s Burgers is incredibly similar to other that came before it. One fact worth noting is season 6 has the least amount of episodes since season 2. With only 19 episodes, it remains the shortest that the show produced after that point.

While season 5 focused on Bob, season 6 didn’t have a similar focus. It focused on multiple different characters versus just one. It also kept the formula and the humor the same, too. Season 6 also featured a lot of musical moments, guest stars and holiday episodes.

More from FOX

Moving on to memorable episodes, season 6 did feature a handful of episodes worth mentioning. No list would be complete without a holiday episode and “The Hauntening” is one of the best. It’s a Halloween episode centered around Louise where we watch her get to be a kid versus always being tough.

“The Hauntening” is also the show’s second-highest rated episode on IMBD. “Bye Bye Boo Boo” focuses on Tina and Louise’s relationship, one of the most underutilized in the show. It also brought back the boy band Boyz 4 Now and showed us another side of Louise.

The last two episodes are fan favorites and considered some of the best the show has ever produced. First up is “The Horse Rider-er.” This episode is all about Tina but we’re introduced to her imaginary horse Jericho and watch as she struggles to bond with a real one. It showcases an important lesson on building something up in your head but never makes Tina the fool.

Last but not least is “Glued, Where’s My Bob?” This is easily the most popular and beloved episode of season 6. Focusing on Bob and his chance at glory, the show plays to its strength with nothing going right. As noted by Loren Bouchard and the creative team, it is the “quintessential” episode in so many ways.

A quick fun fact about “Glued, Where’s My Bob?” is it was the show’s 100th episode but was still as fresh and funny as ever. It also beat out “The Hauntening” as the show’s top-rated on IMBD with a 9.0 rating and was beloved by critics and fans alike.

Season 6 is easily one of the most beloved of the series. Fans have discussed it at length and fellow writers have cited it as such. There’s no denying the attention to detail and care that was put into creating it.

Considering it features the show’s 100th episode, it remains as fresh and hilarious as it’s always been. Personally, I’m in the minority here but season 6 is not one of my favorites. At least there are others who enjoyed it more and it probably brought some new fans to the franchise.

Despite not loving the season, I did enjoy a handful of episodes such as “The Hauntening,” “The Horse Rider-er,” and “Sacred Couch.” My favorite has to be “Glued, Where’s My Bob?” and definitely in my top 5 for the entire series.
