Castle Rock is a fictional town in Maine where several of Stephen King’s novels take place. If you’ve read his work, it’s likely that you already know this. The upcoming Hulu show is bringing the city to life in a creepy fashion, especially in the new trailer.
We can’t tell you too much about the show since it’s still under embargo at the moment, but this trailer shows plenty of glimpses at what you’ll be getting out of it. You can see that they have Easter eggs like the rabid dog news clipping, which refers to Cujo. There are also cast members who have appeared in other Stephen King adaptations since we see Bill Skarsgård (from the IT remake) and Sissy Spacek (Carrie).
The story revolves around Henry Deaver returning to Castle Rock when he receives a call about a client at Shawshank. You see the two talking, but there’s still a mystery surrounding pretty much everything, which you can feel as you continue watching the trailer.
