The Bold Type season 2, episode 7 preview: Jane’s got a gun-toting roommate

In the latest episode of The Bold Type, Jane and Sutton disagree about gun ownership in a heated debate. Here’s everything you need to know.
Who’s Betsy? That’s the leading question going into Tuesday’s brand new episode of The Bold Type titled “Betsy.” But the best guess as to who this titular woman could be is the secret gun Sutton has kept hidden from Jane. On top of all the mistakes Sutton has made this season — charging $800 worth of cocaine to her expense account, (accidentally) sleeping with a married man — she’s shot herself straight in the middle of a gun control debate in her own home, and Jane’s not thrilled about her new firearm roommate, possibly dubbed Betsy.
After tackling subjects such as privilege and sexual assault, The Bold Type centers its characters in another prevailing issue currently dividing our country. Jane and Sutton’s opposing views on gun ownership will undoubtedly speak to the growing nationwide debate.

However, Betsy could also be the name of a woman getting between Kate and Adena. Last week, Kat honestly confessed to Adena her wandering thoughts, leading to Adena suggesting a temporary split. But Adena proposes something different to Kat this week, and we can only assume it’s adding a third party.
How does Jane react to finding Sutton’s gun? Will the roommates come to an understanding over the presence of the gun in their home, or will they opt to agree to disagree?
