Younger season 5, episode 6 preview: Are Liza and Charles about to call a truce?

In the latest episode of Younger, Liza comes to Charles’ rescue as Maggie celebrates a career accomplishment. Here’s everything you need to know.
Now that Liza’s weird relationship with Don the con artist has been indefinitely thrown in the slush pile, a long overdue truce with Charles could be on the horizon. Younger likes to keep us tortured with character rifts, mostly involving Liza and her little white lies in the war on ageism, but the latest cold war might meet its natural end. There’s no telling how Charles feels these days as he’s up and down more than a rollercoaster, but in Tuesday’s can’t-miss new episode, he calls for Liza’s help in a sticky situation. Are those white flags we see waving?
Of course, hopefuls will assume this is the start of a reconciliation. But since Younger doesn’t make if a habit of letting Liza off easy (well, when it comes to love), Charles likely begrudgingly relies on Liza while dealing with a rock-star author on Shelter Island because she’s his last resort. Who else will ask how high when he says jump? In that sense, taking advantage of Liza’s guilt doesn’t make Charles look great.
