Jack Yang, who plays Asmodeus on Shadowhunters, cosplayed as his own character at San Diego Comic-Con and took a ride in the #SaveShadowhunters pedicab!

Shadowhunters wasn’t able to come to San Diego Comic-Con because of their production schedule in Toronto for the final two episodes of season 3, but that didn’t stop fans from creating a presence for the series at SDCC this year. For the past three days, fans hired two pedicabs in the Gaslamp District to drive convention goers around the city.

Pedicabs are a key piece of the con culture in downtown San Diego, and over the past several years, networks and brands have turned the cabs into moving billboards for upcoming TV series, movies and activations. After an airplane banner in Los Angeles and digital billboards in New York and Seoul, it makes sense that fans would want to keep their #SaveShadowhunters efforts going by bringing the series back to SDCC, where it held a panel and autograph session in 2017.

The Shadowhunters pedicabs are decorated with angelic runes and the #SaveShadowhunters hashtag, and have been getting attention from fans who are excited to see them.

Shadowhunters fan Nannette DeRobertis, who has been volunteering to hang out by the pedicabs and help educate SDCC attendees about the cause, took things a step further on Saturday by helping coordinate a meet-up with actor Jack Yang!

Jack Yang, who plays Asmodeus on the series, stopped by SDCC today cosplaying as his own character. Not only did he want to come see the pedicab, but he even jumped in! Check out the photos below from his time in the Shadowhunters pedicab:

The Shadowhunters pedicabs aren’t able to travel all the way to Edom, but we hope Asmodeus had a fun time checking out the Shadowhunters representation at SDCC!
