Having already executed marketing efforts in NY and LA, now Shadowhunters fans in Korea have organized a subway billboard in a Seoul! Here’s why fans shouldn’t stop the fight to #SaveShadowhunters:

Over the past few weeks, Shadowhunters fans have organized and rallied together like no other fandom we’ve seen before. They’ve arranged to fly an aerial banner over Netflix in Los Angeles, and post a billboard in New York City’s Times Square. Today, the marketing efforts made their way to a subway station in Seoul, Korea that fans tell us will be viewed by Netflix employees there.

The subway ad highlights the #SaveShadowhunters hashtag, a tag that has now been used over 10 million times on Twitter alone since the cancellation was announced. The ad will be on display for a month at Seoul’s Gwanghwamun Gate Station near Netflix Korea’s offices, in view of pedestrians coming down an escalator.

The alliterative #SaveShadowhuntersSeoulSubway tag leads to video taken by fans this morning who were excited to continue the fight to reverse the series’ cancellation. Check out the posts below to see it for yourself:

More from Teen Dramas

Seeing the billboards online has reenergized (not that they ever really lost energy) around the world to keep fighting for a season 4 pick-up. And fans have good reason to believe that their efforts are working. In an interview with Deadline, Shadowhunters producer Martin Moszkowicz of Constantin Films said that discussions are ongoing as to “how we can continue to bring Cassandra Clare’s vision to television.” The comments are vague, but what’s most interesting to me is that Constantin Films could also potentially create a series around Clare’s The Infernal Devices which would include Shadowhunters crossover characters.

Seeing the power of the fans online, it makes sense that Constantin Films would want to continue to create content in the Shadow World’s universe, but we might be going back to 1870’s London. Deadline also reported that a potential series for The Infernal Devices “would include Shadowhunters crossover characters.”

We’re very interested to see how Constantin Films moves forward with any kind of potential renewal or spin-off series, but one thing is for sure, we need to keep fighting to #SaveShadowhunters!
