Big Brother 20 returned for an August 15 episode that focused on the Power of Veto winner. By the end of the Wednesday night episode, CBS viewers would know who won the Veto Competition (OTEV) and who was nominated for eviction.

The BB App Store made an appearance in the “Previously on Big Brother” segment. The Cloud Power that Tyler crispen possesses was referenced, right before Haleigh Broucher was shown winning the Head of Household. During the August 12 episode of Big Brother 20, Tyler was shown trying to work Haleigh in regard to the nominations. It worked, as Haleigh nominated Kaycee Clark and Angela Rummans instead. Kaycee then won the Hacker Competition, taking herself off the block, and placing Rockstar in the crosshairs.

Hacker Meeting fallout

Rockstar had the first Diary Room session, where she cried about getting nominated again. Sam Bledsoe joked about Rockstar setting the record for being on the block the most. Haleigh had her own Diary Room session, stating that she was frustrated about what had happened, though noting she still had the Veto Competition. Kaycee Clark then stated in the DR that she was pleased with her choice and knew that she needed to lay low to keep the wrong people from finding out she had the power.

A lot of drama took place as Haleigh, Rockstar, and Faysal Shafaat tried to figure out who the House Hacker was this week. Scottie Salton got blamed again, despite being innocent (again) about working against them. Meanwhile, Brett Robinson, Angela, and Tyler were quite pleased with what Kaycee had done as the Hacker. She had told them before that she had the power.

Sam starts to break down

Sam had a Diary Room session where she was shown feeling like she couldn’t trust Tyler, who she has worked with since the first week. A scene was then shown where Sam approached Tyler and confided in him about feeling like he was a “rattlesnake,” but that she felt bad about it. He reassured her but admitted in his own DR session that he was keeping a lot of things from her. This could have led to a situation mentioned in Big Brother 20 rumors, where Sam Bledsoe reportedly had a meltdown in the house.

Picking players for Veto Competition

The House Hacker (Kaycee) placed Tyler in the challenge (as planned). Rockstar picked Faysal and Angela picked Kaycee to join them in the Veto Competition. This meant that three people from each side of the BB20 house would be competing to become the Power of Veto winner.

Week 7 Big Brother 20 Veto Competition

OTEV finally arrived for the BB20 cast. As usual, the six competitors had to answer the questions asked of them by finding game pieces in the backyard with those answers on them. It would be played in rounds, with the last person to present a correct answer getting eliminated.

The six competing houseguests were all excited about taking part in the challenge, but that excitement would be tempered once things got started. Kaycee as eliminated in the first round. Angela was then eliminated in the second round. Faysel was the third one out. That left just Haleigh, Tyler, and Rockstar playing for the Power of Veto.

During the fourth round, Rockstar got to the top and so did Tyler, but she compared answers and Tyler figured out he was wrong. He went back for the right answer, finding it before Haleigh could find her answer. With the unintentional help of Rockstar, Tyler survived and Haleigh was eliminated.

The final two competing were Rockstar and Tyler. Rockstar found her answer first, but she had the wrong answer. It turned out that by taking his time, Tyler had been able to find the right answer. Tyler Crispen won the Power of Veto.

Veto Meeting time

Power of Veto winner Tyler Crispen hosted the Week 7 Veto Meeting. He announced that he was saving Angela Rummans from the block. Haleigh Broucher, as the current Head of Household, had to come up with a replacement nominee. Haleigh decided to put Kaycee right back on the block.

That brings an end to the August 15 Big Brother 20 recap. The next episode will take place Thursday night (August 16), when the BB20 cast decides to evict either Rockstar or Kaycee Clark.
