CW’s Riverdale season 3 will be very dark and tense

Riverdale’s second season was tense, but season 3 will be both very dark as well as tense. There will be heavy romance scenes as well.
The once innocence show Riverdale… that was a joke. Riverdale was never an innocent show. Murders, romance scenes, affairs, gangs, and drugs, just to name a few have all been topics heavily featured in the series. I thought season 2 was tense, but oh boy! Season 3 will step it up a notch. It will be very dark and tense, including heavy romance scenes.
We will be seeing Jughead and Betty team up again as a new mystery has entered Riverdale. This is great and not-so-great at the same time. I love when Jughead and Betty team up to solve crimes, but we also don’t want new crimes to occur.
However, this is what adds mystery to the show, and whenever mystery gets added to the show, Jughead and Betty will always be there together looking for clues to solve the new mystery. According to an interview on Entertainment Weekly with Lili Reinhart, we’ll be seeing this happen within the first few episodes.
Let’s not forget Archie is on trial for being framed for murdering Cassidy Bullock. Hopefully, he won’t be found guilty, as that would surely change the season around. Archie’s mom will be there with him at court and she’s an attorney, so let’s see what she can do.

Shannon Purser (who many of you know from Stranger Things as Barbara, “Justice for Barb”) tells Chloe Gorman of Clevver that Riverdale is taking a different direction from the previous two seasons:
"“It’s definitely dark,” she says of the third season. “It kind of delves into the supernatural a little bit, which is really fun.”"
She continues:
"“Ethel takes a very dark turn in this season, which was a stretch for me. It was good. It was a challenge for me to kind of get to play with all of the emotions she goes through. So, I am excited for people to see it, it should be interesting.”According to the actress, these changes are “exciting,” especially for people who “enjoy fantasy” because they “will be really into it.”"
That undeniably sounds very interesting. There will also be more of Ethel in season 3. There’s a new side to her that we haven’t seen before, and she goes through some big changes. I wonder what that could entail? What do you think her new side will be? Your guess is as good as mine.
We’ll be seeing a flashback episode which premieres on November 7. The young cast will play their parents in high school. Oh, and Vanessa Morgan talked about how the romance will be between her character and Cheryl Blossom. She dished about this to Liz Calvario of ET Online:
"In episode five, Madelaine Petsch’s Cheryl Blossom and Morgan’s Toni, known as “Choni,” will have a very steamy interaction.“We’re going hot and heavy,” Morgan revealed. “We had a kissing scene last episode that was great. Yeah, we’re getting steamy!”"
Toni will also be a complete bad a** as a serpent. Season 3 will be a very dark and tense season, more Choni and other relationship scenes? It seems this season will top the last two, as it should, or shows don’t improve. Let’s grab popcorn and soda, this is going to be a fun ride!
