Netflix orders Melissa Joan Hart and Sean Astin sitcom, No Good Nick

Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Melissa & Joey’s Melissa Joan Hart, and Stranger Things’ Sean Astin will be starring in Netflix’s multi-cam comedy series, No Good Nick.
Bob has been revived from the dead! Netflix has ordered a multi-cam comedy series, No Good Nick. It will star Sabrina the Teenage Witch star Melissa Joan Hart and Stranger Things’ Sean Aston. The series has received a 20 episode order by Netflix.
The streaming giant has been investing $8 billion dollars in original content, so it seems they want to create more shows to fill in the voids for their categories. This includes multi-cam family and comedy show such as Fuller House, The Ranch and One Day at a Time.
If I must say, I am stunned 20 episodes have been ordered. I don’t recall Netflix ever doing this. They must feel confident the show will perform well.

David H. Steinberg and Keetgi Kogan are the creators and executive producers. Additional cast members set to star in No Good Nick, include, Siena Agudong, Kalama Epstein and Lauren Lindsey Donzis.
Melissa Joan Hart and Sean Astin’s characters are Liz and Ed, respectively. From Deadline, “She’s [Liz] a very competitive career mom, and Ed is lovable but he’s a dorky fun dad.”
Kalama and Lauren will be playing Liz and Ed’s children. Liz and Ed bring in 13-year-old Nick into their home, but what they don’t know is Nick’s a con artist with a secret agenda. Production has begun and Andy Fickman will be directing the pilot episode.
Melissa Cobb, VP Kids and Family at Netflix said in a statement:
"“Melissa Joan Hart and Sean Astin are beloved by millions of fans around the world, and we are delighted to bring them together as parents for the very first time,” said Melissa Cobb, VP Kids and Family at Netflix. “We hope to entertain kids and families with heart, mystery and a lot of fun when No Good Nick comes to Netflix.”"
The synopsis of No Good Nick sounds intriguing, despite the negative comments that I’ve seen on the internet. Additionally, Netflix has stated the series will also have elements of serialized drama as it reveals whether there is more to Nick than meets the eye. Interesting!
I love Melissa Joan Hart and Sean Astin. Seeing them play parents will be something very interesting and I’m intrigued to see how their chemistry plays out.
Knowing this is on Netflix, I have no doubt the show will be good. They have a reputation of having high-quality shows. I’m sure they’ll have a great audience considering both Hart and Astin have fans. Sabrina the Teen Witch? Stranger Things? ‘Nuff said.
I’m eagerly waiting for the trailer to drop! Until that day, I’ll have to imagine how the show will play out. Then again, you can’t tell too much from a trailer. You may get the gist of the show, but it won’t be enough to let you know if you’ll like it or not.
