Avengers 4 new teaser image causes mass confusion among fans

Filming for Avengers 4 has officially wrapped up, and directors have celebrated by releasing a tantalizing and cryptic teaser image of the upcoming film.
Anthony and Joe Russo took to Twitter to announce the completion of the latest Avengers production, rounding off their post with a picture, which sent Marvel fans into a confused frenzy regarding exactly what the image represented in terms of the highly anticipated next installment. Immediately following its upload, users began offering their insight into what this picture could mean.
The image itself features an indistinguishable shape flooded by an almost blinding white light on top of a bright blue background. Avengers fans began to spend hours doing anything they could to de-crypt the picture, going so far as to use computer filtering programs in order to try and break the image down for what it actually was.

Some feel that the reason why the picture was so hard on the eyes was due to it blocking out something very important underneath it, with a few Twitter users comparing it to either a coffin or the pod used by Adam Warlock. One user compiled a series of images together to point out that the blue light was very similar to that of the siren on top of a police vehicle, then posting a composite photograph of an Avengers cosplayer under arrest and a scene from the Marvel comic itself.
Although the movie is yet to be assigned an official title, a recent rumor suggested that the film will be called Annihilation. The reason behind this belief lies with the Keith Giffen comic of the same name, as this would fall into play with Avengers: Infinity War being linked to the Infinity and Infinity Gauntlet comic series. The third installment of the hit Marvel movie saga was released on April 27, 2018.
