Kim Rhodes and Briana Buckmaster of Supernatural will air their first episode of The Wayward Podcast this Monday. They want us to ride alongside them as fellow humans and I am so already there!

These Wayward ladies have never messed around, at the same time, they always do. And I believe this amazing podcast is going to follow suit. From karaoke and slumber parties during conventions to fundraising campaigns for great causes, Briana Buckmaster and Kim Rhodes are a pair to be reckoned with. If you want to laugh or cry or have a reason to press on in life, they will provide.

As guest stars of Supernatural, they evolved into their own clan on the side, the Wayward Sisters. For many, wayward became a way of life. The SPN Family was VERY ultra sad when The CW did not pick up the sisters as a show of its own. We rallied together and tweeted, made petitions, sent emails and more. Eventually, it became clear that it just wasn’t going to happen.

But sike! Yes it is, just not like you think. So The Wayward Podcast is going to be amazinggggg. The pair is doing it all on their own and warned that it will be slow to start with lots of boo-boos. But they are super grateful for the outpouring of offers for help they’ve received.

But I mean, would it be wayward if that wasn’t the case? The whole point is to involve us, the family, in their conversations, lives, and to talk to us as equals and “fellows,” as Rhodes put it. This thing will be a learning experience for us all! We’ll grow together, which I think is the big plan.

They talked about how the episodes will only be around 20 minutes for now so that people can listen to them while they’re getting ready for work or doing other things. Just little quickies about life and being wayward and super, as we all are. It’s gonna be kind of like this post.

I am feeling this hardcore because I always wish I had a little something of substance to listen to while I wash dishes or whatever, but podcasts aren’t something I’ve really explored. Once I had a weekly show I listened to and that was cool. It was live and we tweeted and listened at the same time.

But this is way more up my alley, personally. I feel like the topics and mood will keep me coming back, even though I’m not used to the podcast experience. Fortunately for people like me, the podcast is going to be super easy to listen to! Some people are already talking about how they’ve downloaded it or accessed the feed.

I don’t know about all that, but I know I can just go here and it’s all good. They even have a little trailer up right now that you can go hear. And trust me, it may not be Supernatural, but the same kinship is there, and that’s what we’re all building on here. Maybe now my kids will think I didn’t have a pet dinosaur when I was a child.

Whether you’re a podcast person or not, you will easily find something about this experience to hook into. There’s mom stuff, dad stuff, men stuff, women stuff, human stuff. SPN Family guests and music are happening and I am gonna be filling my ears and brain with the chance to share my abnormal normalcy with kindred folk. Party on, my wayward fellows!
