The Kids Are Alright, Single Parents, The Rookie, and A Million Little Things are the new shows for ABC in the fall TV 2018 lineup. Out of all four, the two comedies are performing the strongest. Single Parents has already gained a full-season order and it looks on track to be renewed as long as the ratings remain steady. This is just one of those guilty pleasure comedies like The Big Bang Theory and Brooklyn Nine-Nine that everyone needs.

Surprisingly, The Kids Are Alright is sitting as the highest-rated freshman show on ABC on average. It gained an extra three episodes, but the network is still deciding what to do about it. It will likely get a full-season order, as long as the ratings hold steady.

The Rookie and A Million Little Things have also gained three extra episodes while the network decides what to do. Both aren’t performing as well as ABC would hope, especially Nathan Fillion’s new series. The Rookie just isn’t hitting the mark and is in a tough slot on Tuesday nights up against New Amsterdam and NCIS: New Orleans.

However, this is still early days for The Rookie. It only aired its second episode this week and there’s plenty more time before we see how the ratings steady.

Meanwhile, A Million Little Things‘ ratings seem to have steady around 3.490 million and 0.80 in the demo. While behind in total viewers, the series is ahead of CBS’ Criminal Minds in the demo on average. The show was picked up for a full-season order, with 17 episodes. However, it may just miss out on a second season.
