Friends: Ranking all 10 Friends Thanksgiving episodes
By Callum Gunn
Throughout its decade-long run, Friends brought us a lot of memorable episodes, including Thanksgiving specials, but which is the best? Here are all 10 Friends Thanksgiving episodes, ranked.
Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and before you know it, you will have the turkey stuffed, a pumpkin pie baked, beer chilling, football playing in the background and the box set of Friends ready to go…assuming you’re a Friends fan of course. I’m also assuming you have Friends on box set. You could be watching it on Netflix or some other method. The point is though you have Friends ready to go.

For every season it was on the air, Friends aired a Thanksgiving episode, each one unique and memorable in some way. However, while each episode has at least one good moment, not all the episodes are good, and at least one sucks. Ah, but which one? Sit back and get ready for the ride:
10. Season 2 – “The One With The List”
So yeah, this is the Friends Thanksgiving episode that sucks, and you may have already guess why: it’s because this is the Thanksgiving episode that isn’t a Thanksgiving episode.
Well, that might be a bit harsh. They do mention Thanksgiving in the episode, but it’s such a minor plot point compared to everything else going on that they may as well not have bothered.
What we got instead was another Ross-Rachel storyline. While Ross is trying to decide between Rachel and Julia, he decides to create a list of their faults. Rachel finds it, reads all of her faults, and finds that Ross has only written down one for Julia: “She’s not Rachel.”
Looking back, the plot was very obvious and not that necessary in the long run as regards the great will-they-won’t-they Ross-Rachel question that hung over the whole series. Basically, it was a waste of a Thanksgiving episode.
This could be because it was still in the early days of the series and they were still experimenting with what worked and what didn’t. If that’s the case, then fine, I can get on board with “The List,” because thankfully they learned their lesson and learned it fast. Things only got better from here on in.
