Chilling Adventures of Sabrina delivered a superb debut season on Netflix. As we look to the future of the series, here are the burning question we need answered in Season 2.

The first season of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is officially in the books. Or should we say spellbooks? Either way, it didn’t take long for Netflix to win over viewers with their dark and dramatic take on Sabrina Spellman. The gothic horror series is based on the comic book series written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, who also serves as the series creator.

From the onset, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina made clear that it wouldn’t focus on playful magic and innocent storylines. The power at the center of the series is very dark as the practices of the witches almost blurs the line with satanism. That doesn’t mean witches, especially the Spellmans, are malevolent. Most witches deem mortals as inferior beings but not Sabrina. She can’t help but view them as equals. Is it possible her thoughts changed as the season went on?

A lot happened over the course of the ten episodes. There’s so much to discuss regarding the events in the premiere season. There’s also a ton of mysteries that left us thinking by the end of the finale episode. So here are our nine questions we hope Chilling Adventures of Sabrina answers in the second season.

9. Is Sabrina now fully on the dark side?

At the beginning of the season, Sabrina was struggling with her decision whether or not she should kiss her mortal life goodbye and sign her name in the Book of the Beast. By the end of the season, she had her name in the book and was walking hand-in-hand with the Weird Sisters. But will Sabrina fully commit to her shift to darkness?

What made Sabrina so compelling was her internal struggle with signing away her freedom and liberties to the Dark Lord. Considering she starts the series as a half-witch, she had a special tie to the mortal world. She refused to leave her friends and boyfriend behind to blindly follow the Church of Night. When signing the Book of the Beast was the only option in order to save the town of Greendale, the young witch had no other choice.

After reaching her full power, Sabrina burned the Hanging Tree and the Thirteen in a mass of Hellfire. She also got a new facade as her powers turned her hair a platinum silver. Along with the new look, Sabrina also felt a new darkness within her which she claimed to Harvey is the reason they could no longer be together. By the wink and the new glint in her eyes, Sabrina seemed to embrace her new persona but it will be interesting to see if that lasts next season.
