Godzilla is back in the new trailer for Godzilla: King of the Monsters and we have a few observations from the action packed footage.

Fans have eagerly anticipated the new trailer for Godzilla which was promised to contain plenty of action – and it was definitely worth the wait. The trailer (revealed earlier today) begins with Millie Bobby Brown who is clearly terrified by the barrage of monsters, but the rest of the trailer makes use of the hype around these creatures and gives us plenty of shots focusing on Godzilla and company.

After watching the trailer (several times of course) we have a few ideas, theories and assumptions about Godzilla: King of the Monsters. This could be the most epic Godzilla film yet!

There have been several Godzilla films for years now, but the upcoming film looks like it is going to raise the bar. From the masterful plotting of action, to the incredibly realistic CGI used to create the creatures and atmosphere, this leaves us with more hope for a Godzilla film than we’ve ever experienced. If there has ever been a time to have high hopes for the franchise, this new installment appears to have so many positives that there isn’t one concern about the direction of Godzilla: King of the Monsters.

Society is rightfully warming up to Godzilla (we hope.)

It appears that Monarch along with a select group of government officials have acknowledged Godzilla as a savior against looming threats. His actions in the last film paired with the idea that he has once again submerged himself proves that if anything, Godzilla wants to keep the peace on Earth – or at the very least peaceful from other “titans.” Hopefully that suggests that this time around he won’t have to constantly deal with military forces trying to injure and stop the adorable reptilian king.

Ghidorah is the ultimate badass villain.

The three headed dragon known as King Ghidorah has always been a powerful staple in the world of Godzilla, so seeing this new and improved version is completely enticing. Sure, we still remain team Godzilla but that doesn’t mean we won’t enjoy the full on melee that’s going to be a clash for power like we’ve never seen before.

The sheer size, menacing presence, and atmosphere is enough to confirm that he’s going to be the primary villain of this film and not to expect a casual cameo from the creature.

Mothra may be working with Godzilla in this epic battle.

Typically in the Godzilla films, Mothra has been a fan favorite and occasional ally to Godzilla, which may be the case once again. We see Mothra interact with a human which suggests the softer side, and the creature appears in the sky almost like a divine being – so we have high hopes that it’ll be a Godzilla and Mothra vs Ghidorah and Rodan match up for the ages.

Some fans have even pieced together scenes from the trailer and believe that Mothra will take a direct hit for Godzilla, so if that is the case, prepare yourselves for some real heartbreak.
