Fox: When does Bob’s Burgers come back in 2019?

Bob’s Burgers is taking its usual Christmas hiatus as most shows do. The Belchers hopefully won’t be gone long but when does the show return in 2019?

The dreaded Christmas hiatus; it happens to the best of them. It’s rare to see a show that airs new episodes during Christmas time. Bob’s Burgers is no expectation as the series aired its Christmas episode on Dec. 9. Since then, the show has been on hiatus.

As per every season, the show will begin its “spring” or second half of the season in January and usually last until May when the season finale airs. Thankfully, the show kept the pattern the same this year. The show is in its 9th season so there’s really no reason to change it. With that being said, let’s get into Season 9 and the show’s eventual return.

Season 9 of Bob’s Burgers has truly been unlike any other. Throughout its nine seasons, the show has continued to change and adapt. That’s exactly the case with Season 9 as the show has started to split the family up more. It’s not unusual to see the Belchers apart in most episodes but eventually, coming back together in the end.

As far as similarities, the show aired their usual holiday episodes including Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. We’ve also seen the return of some beloved characters, an incredible premiere and the charming wit we’ve come to love. Another mainstay has been music as it’s such an integral part of the show’s identity.

So far, only 10 episodes have aired and that’s a little less than half. For me, the season has been hit-and-miss especially with the double plotlines. Thankfully, there’s another half of the season to look forward to. Until then, we have the entire season and all of the season 9 episodes to watch.

With a recap out of the way, let’s get into when the show will return. According to the show’s official Twitter, Bob’s Burgers will return on January 6th at 8:30/7:30c. The show didn’t waste any time and is only on hiatus for three weeks before it returns. That’s always good news and gives all of us something to look forward to.
