Can Garth be saved in Supernatural Season 14?

The Supernatural Season 14 fall finale left us with a major cliffhanger but are we forgetting about Garth? What’s going to happen to him now?

While we’re currently focused on the fact that Michael is in control of Dean again, there’s a major question for Supernatural Season 14. Can Garth be saved? Things aren’t looking good for our favorite werewolf.

He didn’t get away with the drink-and-spit trick that he used to pull on his mom. Michael knew that Garth hadn’t swallowed the potion to level his werewolf abilities up and it was clear why by the end. Michael is connected to each of his monsters and can fully control them.

That’s not looking great for Garth. Now, Michael!Dean will be able to tell where Garth is and can use him against the Winchesters. To start, Sam will need to make sure Garth is locked up — and I can see that going down spectacularly well with the Apocalypse World hunters, like Bobby!

But what about when Sam and the others find a way to deal with Michael. Just how connected is the archangel to his monsters? If he dies, what happens to the grace in the monsters? Does it go unaffected or will Michael’s death cause the deaths of all the other monsters? For the most part, that’s not a problem, but Garth!

I’m not sure about you, but I’m not ready to lose Garth. He may not have been in many episodes recently, but he still has a special part in the fandom. And quite honestly, I’m fed up of the show bringing a beloved character back just to kill them off. We’ve had it with Ellen and Jo, Charlie, and most recently, Missouri Moseley.

Hopefully, Sam will think about this before he finds a way to kill Michael. It will likely bring up some tension between Sam and the Apocalypse World hunters, who just want to kill Michael and be done with it, but so be it. Sam needs to fight for his friends and loved ones.
