January 2019
The big networks have new shows starting in January, although not as many as we’ve seen in the past. We’re seeing plenty of shows being spread out over the course of the year now to prevent too many reruns. Here’s everything across the big five coming in January 2019.
ABC
Schooled: The spin-off for The Goldbergs is one of the first new shows to premiere in January 2019. It follows its parent show at 8:30/9:30c from Jan. 9.
CBS
Fam: The new comedy with The Vampire Diaries‘ Nina Dobrev begins on Jan. 10 at 9:30/8:30c. It’s followed by a week off and then returns in full at the end of the month.
FOX
The Passage: Get your thoughts of Zach Morris in Saved by the Bell out of your head. Mark-Paul Gosselaar is stepping into the series drama based on the best-selling trilogy that starts with the book of the same name. It begins on Jan. 14 at 9/8c.
NBC
The Titan Games: The Dwayne Johnson unscripted show premieres on Jan. 3 at 8/7c. If you love American Ninja Warrior, you’re going to adore this.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine: So, technically, this isn’t a new show. The Andy Samberg cop comedy was saved from FOX, but it’s a new show for NBC. Season 6 premieres on Jan. 10 at 9/8c.
The CW
Roswell, New Mexico: This is the reboot we know we’ve needed for a long time. Stripping it back to the books instead of the 90s show but set 10 years later, Roswell, New Mexico will premiere on Jan. 15 at 9/8c. It follows The Flash, pushing Black Lightning to Mondays after Arrow.
