Will the Empty take Castiel in Supernatural Season 14?

Castiel made a deal with the Empty to save Jack. Will the Empty claim his prize in Supernatural Season 14?

To get jack back, Castiel offered himself to the Empty in Supernatural Season 14. Promising to go quietly, he became something for the Empty to look forward to. And just as we thought we’d have to see the Winchesters go to save their friend, the Empty decided not to take Castiel up on his offer just yet.

He gave Castiel a loophole, of sorts, saying that he’ll take Castiel when the angel is happy. Of course, Castiel doesn’t think that will ever happen but is that the case? Could Castiel forget all about that deal that he’s just made?

Well, eventually he’d forget. After all, angels can exist for eternity. But Castiel is so sure that he will never be truly happy. It’s kind of sad when you think about it, but it’s also important. This suggests that we won’t see the Empty take Castiel any time in Supernatural Season 14.

Is that the case? Well, it could become a forgotten plotline. That’s happened in the past. Remember when Billie told the Winchesters there would be cosmic consequences for breaking their blood pact and Castiel killed her?

Yeah, I don’t remember cosmic consequences unless you’re going to count the rift as that. Nobody has brought it up as the cosmic consequence, though.

So, maybe the Empty and Castiel’s deal will become one of those forgotten plotlines. It leaves us worrying about our favorite angel for the whole season, only to see him get through alive.

Of course, it could be one of the major cliffhangers. I think there’s going to be another Hellatus coming before the finale. This will likely be around March, giving the production time to film the final episodes and ensure the last few episodes of the season air during the May Sweeps. We could see Castiel die as the cliffhanger and then the final episodes are spent seeing the Winchesters get him back.

Alternatively, Castiel could die again at the end of Supernatural Season 14. This could be the cliffhanger for Season 15 because I’m sure we’re going to get that.
