It all starts with Nine, 16, who disappears and leads her bicycle next to a track through the woods. There’s absolutely no trace of her and no indication of whether she was abducted or had run away. At first Tom and Ellen seem to be perfect together. Then the parents and siblings come together, friends come into their lives, and there are the exes. They start to wonder whether they really can work.
