Celebrity Big Brother 2 cast gets down to business

Though this is the first episode of the season, it is pre-taped, as the celebrities have been playing the game for a while now. Host Julie Chen has already introduced the studio audience to the 12 new houseguests and they entered the game last week. Now, viewers finally get to see what happened.

Celebrity Big Brother Recap Episode 1

The first group of celebrities to be introduced and enter the game were Tom Green, Ryan Lochte, Kato Kaelin, Tamar Braxton, Natalie Eva Marie, and Lolo Jones. It was amusing to see Tom interact with the other five celebrities and make jokes about sandwiches being offered. Tom, Ryan, and Kato then nabbed one of the bedrooms together, while Tamar noted in a Diary Room session that she is a super fan of the show.

The second group of celebrities to enter the game were Ricky Williams, Dina Lohan, Jonathan Bennett, Kandi Burruss, Anthony Scaramucci, and Joey Lawrence. Dina spoke a lot about her family, including Lindsay Lohan, and she seems to really enjoy using the word “haters” when speaking about people online. Ricky made jokes about not wanting his game “to go up in smoke.” He was referencing some previous drug problems he has had.

CBB2 cast begins playing the game

Tamar Braxton and Kandi Burruss appear to be ready for some drama. Tom Green and Anthony Scaramucci noted that they had both been fired by President Donald Trump. Tom was on Celebrity Apprentice, while Anthony worked in the White House. There was also a segment where several of the houseguests joked about the catchphrase that Joey Lawrence had during his time on Blossom.

Host Julie Chen gets things started

The first Head of Household Competition was set to begin, with the houseguests competing in pairs for the power, and one person from the winning pair becoming the first HOH. The teams were Ryan Lochte and Jonathan Bennett, Tamar Braxton and Kandi Burruss, Joey Lawrence and Ricky Williams, Lolo Jones and Tom Green, and, finally, Dina Lohan and Anthony Scaramucci. Natalie Eva Marie and Kato Kaelin had to sit out, but they gained safety for the risk.

First HOH Competition

The houseguests were placed on swings and had to transport champagne from one side of the backyard to a receptacle on the other side. The 10 competitors had a very hard time figuring how to use swings. Even after they started figuring out the swings, Tamar and Kandi had severe problems in the game. Jonathan and Ryan were doing well, with Tom and Lolo as the only real challengers.

Ryan and Jonathan won the competition. But there was a twist. Julie Chen let them know that one of them would become the first HOH, but the other one would become the first nominee of the winter season. That’s where the episode came to an end.
