At a meeting, Christy reveals she almost didn’t make it to the meeting because she wanted to binge Chopped but her “sober feet” had other plans. While everyone loved her story, her sponsor, Nora, didn’t seem at all interested, which really bugged Christy. Bonnie, excited about Adam’s newly busy bar, decides she’s going to let loose and “be selfish for once.” While putting away the chairs, Christy’s desperation shows as she tries to kiss up to Nora, basically begging for attention.
That night, Christy, Bonnoe, and Tammy all gather in the Plunkett’s living room to watch a scary movie over a big bowl of popcorn. Christy soon starts complaining about Nora ignoring her texts for over an hour, since she isn’t too interested in the flick. Bonnie then starts telling Tammy about how Christy was like this growing up but was interrupted by a call from Jill, who tells her she’s just been robbed.
The three rush to Jill’s side to find her truly shaken up over the situation. Tammy, who has recently started sharing her general anxiety around cops, isn’t thrilled when one shows up to give some information to Jill. Nervous that the robbers might come back to finish the job, Christy, Bonnie, and Tammy stay over, sharing Jill’s gigantic bed.
The next day, in an attempt to get on Nora’s good side, Christy prepares a big batch of chili, taking advantage of a little Instagram snooping. Meanwhile, Jill hires the police officer who came over the night before, Andy, to install some security cameras. Showing her how to use view the footage, Andy and Jill hit it off, striking up a conversation about how they are both divorced. The two laugh at each other’s jokes, with sparks obviously flying between them.
Later, Christy is all pumped up because Nora really loved the chili she made for her. Hoping this will be her ticket to a friendship with her sponsor, Christy tunes in to watch her do the evening weather. Unfortunately, Nora passes gas for everyone to see, and hear, seemingly because of the chili that Christy made her. And to make matters worse, the whole incident becomes immortalized as a meme the next day.
At the bistro, Christy meets with Nora, who returns the chili container, and grab a cup of coffee. Even though she is really embarrassed, Nora knows the humiliation will blow over eventually and seemingly shrugs it off before heading to work.

Mortified that she might be to blame, Christy heads to the news station to give Nora a good luck miniature cactus and make sure they are cool. Nora, the queen of cool, ensures Christy that she doesn’t need to be so worried about if people like her. She then goes on to tell Christy that she needs to like herself first and foremost, because that is what’s important in life.
Even though Bonnie and Wendy think Jill is falling for Andy, she insists that she isn’t into him. Saying Andy isn’t her type, Jill repeats that they are only friends. But later that night Jill heads to the kitchen to grab a bottle of water when she spots one of his takeout burritos in the fridge.
After mulling it over for a minute, she breaks a window and calls Andy asking him to make sure no one has broken in. Then she lets her hair down with a mischievous smirk.
What did you think of this week’s episode of Mom? Are we going to be seeing more of Andy? Wasn’t Nora’s slip up on live TV embarrassing? I wouldn’t be brave enough to show my face in public again.
