There are plenty of questions for Supernatural Season 14. One of those is whether Nick will be able to bring Lucifer back from the dead.

Supernatural has certainly delivered an intriguing storyline for Nick. After learning the truth about his family, he went on a journey of discovery. All he wanted was to get revenge on the person who killed his wife and son and that turned into it being a demon. We also learned that Nick’s psyche had been damaged by Lucifer.

One of the most realistic things the show has done is keep Nick’s storyline simple when it comes to his need for Lucifer. He wasn’t anything special at the time of being chosen and that continues to be clear. Without Lucifer, he’s become nothing – just a human with a lot of anger and unresolved issues within. And that’s where it comes to this possibility of Nick resurrecting Lucifer.

Nick already prayed to Lucifer for purpose. Many thought that the creature being raised from the Empty was Lucifer but it happened to be the Cosmic Entity, waking up because Jack was dying. It was a good twist but continues to keep the question open.

Is it possible for Lucifer’s vessel to call back the archangel? It’s something we’ve never seen on the series, but that’s just because there’s never been this opportunity to do it. We’ve never had an archangel die but the vessel survive until now. It opens a world of lore and theories that we could see develop over time.

If Nick wants Lucifer enough, is it possible that he could wake Lucifer up within the Empty? If Castiel can be annoying enough to get out of the Empty, the petulant child, Lucifer, surely could!
