Temptation Island Season 1, Episode 8: Real World redux

Things are getting heated on Temptation Island. The strong relationships are struggling, and the weak relationships are completely dying. Sending or not sending videos to loved ones had a serious impact.
Singles are getting a bit desperate. Zero hour approaches. The club is about to close, and it’s time to pick whoever is leftover.

Post-videos
Kaci thinks Evan is in panic mode. Not really. He’s upset a bit, but Morgan comforts him immediately. John is pretty much done with Kady, and Brittney listens to every word, comforting him the entire time. For her part, Kady is having second thoughts about what she’s been doing. It’s unclear whether her tears are real or not.
To pass the time, the single women made a scavenger hunt that included seeing the guys lingerie and chasing toads. John and Hannah won because, as Hannah says, “Because Katheryn was asleep.” Meanwhile, a few of the single guys go streaking.
Elimination time!
The men
Evan demands Morgan stays. Lindsey, Kayla, Allie, and Jeffri are on the chopping block, and three are leaving. Out of the four, Kayla survives. It’s an awkward departure, but it narrows things down. Also, it gets rid of Lindsay because she was obviously the least attractive.
The women
Dr. John is nervous about getting cut. The four guys on the chopping block are Harry Potter (Jack), James, Carlos, and Wynn (for making Kady feel awkward). Out of the four, Jack remains, and Wynn is pissed. He says Kady made the wrong decision. Somehow they didn’t cut Valentin Osipov, who surprisingly remains despite barely getting screen-time.
The current status
Evan gushes over Morgan. It’s all in the open, and everyone knows. At this point, however, he announces that he asked her to be his girlfriend. The others ooh and ahh. Kaci talks about people judging her, but her head’s still in the sand.
Nicole says she “doesn’t feel the love,” and saying the word boyfriend feels awkward. Later that night in a game of charades, she invites Tyler into her bed. Night-vision shenanigans ensue, and suddenly the relationship with Karl doesn’t seem so strong. Which is awkward for Karl, because he is busy being molested by Brittney (Wasn’t she just trying to get close to John?).
Kady’s still feeling a bit guilty, but she probably shouldn’t at this point. As predicted, John’s done. Katheryn is the official rebound girl. They make out in the pool, and take things to the bedroom. John’s body language, however, is still a bit hesitant.
Bonfire!
Kaci watches her video solo, and she watches solo. It’s the moment Evan asked Morgan to be his girlfriend. Laters babers! Nicole is next, and gets to see Brittney skinny dip with Karl. Nicole is cool with it somehow, and blames Karl for not growing. The video for Shari is fun, with Javen getting fake eyelashes. Kaci scowls without emotion. Finally, Kady gets to see John and Katheryn taste each other’s meals for the day. She says she’s shocked, but it’s clear she’s relieved the cheating is not one-sided. The 1,000-yard stare from Kaci casts a shadow over everything.

Ouch, Karl sees Nicole offering herself to Tyler on the same day he turned down giving a mustache ride to Brittney. John goes second, despite already seeing Kady in the first clip hanging with Dr. John. Nevertheless, the clip is of Dr. John performing a tonsillectomy.
John doesn’t care, however, because the video he DIDN’T get is the reason he moved forward with Katheryn. Honestly, Javen sees nothing from Shari. The best is last. Kaci is near tears, and says if Evan had sex with someone else that it’s over. Heartbroken, Evan still talks about his Morgan upgrade.
