If you’re looking for another show to watch that’s like Supernatural, Netflix has you covered. The latest Original, The Order, is the perfect binge.

As much as you love Supernatural, you know there are times you want something different. You want a show that offers something similar but also a new plot line and new characters. The Order on Netflix is something you’ll want to consider.

The recently-released Netflix Original has all the supernatural elements that you’ve come to know. There are witches, werewolves, and so much more. But it’s not just the supernatural elements that will pull you in. Here are three reasons to give it a chance.

It’s full of the humor you’ve come to love and know

More from Supernatural

One thing the trailer for The Order doesn’t show is the humor that’s involved in the show. As a fan of the Winchesters, you’ve come to love their humor, especially Dean’s. Whether it’s the one-off lines, the stupid decisions, or the intentionally hilarious moments, there’s something for all.

The Order has that humor. Randall and Jack have some of the best moments throughout the series, showing off their similar personalities and growing bond. In fact, Randall on his own is excellent and can often carry the scenes because of his humor.

Then there’s Gabrielle and Brandon who are humorous in their own ways — they’re the stereotypical Millennials looking for an easy ride without worrying about consequences.

Bonds are quickly formed

Supernatural quickly had the benefit of the bond between Sam and Dean Winchester. Over the years, we’ve had other bonds form. Castiel has a bond now with both Winchesters. Jack formed a bond with each main character. We’ve watched bonds form with Crowley, Rowena, Charlie, Bobby, and so many more.

The Order isn’t all about the monsters and magic. It’s about the bonds that form between the characters. Randall and Jack have one of my favorite bonds and it reminds me of the Winchester brothers, but there are others. Hamish and Randall are a little like Castiel and Dean, while Lilith (yes, there’s a character called Lilith) is a little like Charlie and Jo from various points in the show mixed together.

As well as bonds, there are storylines that will leave you thinking back to some of the favorites of Supernatural. One of those surrounds morality and killing — would you allow people to be killed for a greater good or try to stop all death?

There are some familiar faces

Throughout the show, you’ll see some familiar faces from Supernatural. One of those is Katherine Isabel, who plays witch Vera Stone, in the series. You’ll remember her as Ava in the second season of Supernatural.

Then there’s Matt Frewer, who plays Peter Morton in The Order. You’ll recognize him best as Season 5’s Horseman, Pestilence. The actor who plays Randall, Adam DiMarco, was in the Supernatural episode “Freaks and Geeks” and is also Todd in The Magicians.

Need another connection? Remember Amy Pond, who Sam had a connection to but Dean killed because she was a monster killing humans to save her son? Jewel Staite played the role and she has a fairly large role in The Order.

With a strong cast, you’ll immediately be pulled into the show from the first two episodes. And yes, there’s the magic and monsters to leave you curious and needing more. If you’ve not started watching The Order, you need to right now.
