Everything coming to and leaving Netflix in April 2019
Netflix has released its new releases for April 2019. That also means the exits are out. Look out for the likes of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and She-Ra and the Princess of Power but make sure you watch Luther before it leaves.
April 2019 is a mixed month for Netflix. While there are certainly some excellent new arrivals, we can’t help but be disappointed by some of the exits. After all, Luther is one of them — and that certainly explains why the latest season hadn’t dropped yet! It’s time to look at everything coming to and leaving Netflix in April 2019.
Let’s start with the bad and get it out of the way. Luther is definitely going to be one of the most notable exits from the series. We knew it could happen at any time, but did we really think it would? Say goodbye to Idris Elba’s British detective series at the start of the month, so you’ll want to watch right now.
More from Netflix
- Bridgerton season 3: All the details to know about Penelope and Colin’s love story
- It’s a slow week on Netflix with only three new releases (Nov. 20)
- Exploding Kittens: From card game to Netflix animated series starring Tom Ellis
- The Crown and more Netflix shows and movies to stream this week (November 13)
- Escaping Twin Flames and more harrowing love-centered documentaries to watch on Netflix
Also, notable exits include Happy Gilmore, a number of James Bond movies, and the Star Wars: Clone Wars series. The third exit isn’t actually that surprising considering Disney is periodically removing its content to get ready for its streaming service being released in the fall.
Now it’s time to look at some of the most notable new releases on Netflix in April 2019. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Part 2 has to be included on this list. The next set of 10 episodes will be released — and we thought we’d have to wait for Halloween! With two more seasons already confirmed, we can go into this knowing that any cliffhangers at the end will be resolved.
New Girl Season 7 is also finally being released. We’d started to wonder whether this was even going to come to the service with the whole Disney-FOX merger. You’ll be happy to hear that the FOX network is remaining part of FOX and separate from Disney, so maybe it was the ins and outs of that deal that were delaying the arrival.
You also won’t want to miss The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Being in Canada, I’m certainly jealous that those of you in the States will get to watch this. These are the perfect movies about friendship.
Supernatural and Timeless fans may be interested in one of the Netflix Originals coming. ReMastered: Devil at the Crossroads is all about Robert Johnson and the rumors of his pact with the Devil. Friday the 13th is also on the list of new releases — yes, the 2009 movie with Jared Padalecki.
