Stranger Things Season 3: 12 questions from the trailer

We’re still a few months out from the new season of Stranger Things but Netflix has released the official trailer and we’ve got tons of questions!

After waiting for more than a year, we finally have a brand new trailer for the upcoming third season of Stranger Things! Set during the summer, the Hawkins gang is back to fight yet another interdimensional threat. But not before they have a little fun! Season 3 features a few new friendships, characters, and even settings as Hawkins gets a new mall – which appears to be the hub of many dark mysteries.

The older group have jobs now with Billy working as a lifeguard, Steve at the Star Court Mall food court, and it looks like Jonathan (and maybe Nancy) is working at The Hawkins Post. Initially, the trailer makes it seem like these kids are actually going to get to have fun and be kids for a while with a trip to the county fair, pranks on Dustin, and good old-fashioned hang out sessions, but it doesn’t last long before the trouble begins! (Seeing Will cry broke my heart, he needs a hug and to be left in peace!)

With the new trailer comes tons of new questions, let’s look into a few of them.

12. How long did it take for Dustin and Steve to learn their handshake?

Dustin and Steve’s friendship was one of the best moments from Stranger Things Season 2 and I’m happy to report it looks like their bromance is still going strong! What I want to know is how long it took them to come up with the adorable handshake they do at the trailer’s end, one that has Steve’s new coworker, Robin, asking “how many children are you friends with?” If only she knew.

11. Is Billy hooking up with Mike’s mom?

It appears Max’s brother Billy, one of the show’s season 2 antagonists, is back for season 3. This time around he’ll be a lifeguard and it would appear his flirtation with Mike’s mom is still going strong. There’s a moment in the trailer where you can see Karen Wheeler making eyes at Billy as they stand too close together for comfort!
