Could Mary Winchester die at the end of Supernatural Season 14?
Supernatural Season 14 is shaping up to be a devastating season with the threat of plenty of casualties. Could Mary Winchester be one of those permanent casualties?
Supernatural Season 14 has already seen some big losses, with Sam taking some of them to heart. However, there’s the potential that one of the biggest and hardest losses is coming. Is it possible we’ll see Mary Winchester die?
During a convention earlier this month, Jensen Ackles shared that someone close to the Winchesters was going to die. Alana King tweeted that Kim Rhodes also talked about it, and this death would be big.

Fans have questioned whether it means Mary Winchester is going to die. After all, it feels like the writers brought her back and have now struggled with a storyline for her. There was a chance to develop one with the Apocalypse World, only to not really utilize that world fully. And it doesn’t help that she hasn’t been well liked by the majority of the fandom because of the realistic storyline after coming back from the dead 30+ years later.
We’re going to see Mary again in Episode 17, having not seen her since she realized Dean was creating a Ma’lak box. She’ll spend some time with Jack, which has some fans worried. We’ve already seen that Jack doesn’t have full control over his powers, especially with a diminished soul. Is it possible that he’ll do something that gravely hurts Mary?

Of course, the talk about a big death coming up was earlier this month, before Michael killed all the hunters in the bunker. It’s possible that this was the death that was mentioned since it has had major ramifications for Sam. He’s struggled the most with the apocalypse hunters’ deaths, especially Maggie.

We’ll have to wait to find out how the Supernatural Season 14 finale is going to play out. It’s certainly possible that a major death will happen and Mary Winchester would be the one that would have the least ramifications for the final season. However, it looks like the big death was actually Maggie (with the other hunters), focusing on how Sam would react.
